Petite Retreat
At just 750 square feet, this eco-conscious little cottage offers a great big welcome to friends and family

Rustic elements and crockery reflect the colors and materials from the surrounding countryside. The owners used green building techniques such as repurposed floor tiles, sustainably farmed wood, and environmentally friendly milk paint. The alderwood cabinets are painted with environmentally friendly milk paint. The sofa cushions double as two twin-size mattresses to accommodate extra sleeping for guests. Floor-to-ceiling shelves house an abundance of good reads. A carved, upholstered headboard imparts a French touch. Underneath the sofa, drawers provides storage below for fresh linens and cozy throws. The new bathroom offers all indispensable modern conveniences. Well-chosen accessories crate a tonal vignette. The kitchen table accommodates all meals. The bedroom pampers with a comfy bed, armloads of pillows, and a cozy throw.
